I hear the noise in the street
the garbage truck in the corner
and the dogs barking at each other

Glasses break in the street
bad words fly out the window
someone must’ve gone crazy
I need some sleep, some sleep

I hear a girl in the street
she's not sounding too happy
She must've her heart broken

I will take her away
somewhere quiet and peaceful
maybe Paris or Brussels
It'd be nice, it'd be so nice

But then I listen to the silent sound
of the cold rain pouring down, outside my window
the night is never-ending when you're around
and this dream I'm living in takes me away

The neighbor’s music’s too loud
the smell of pot in the doorway
and the dogs barking at each other

No one likes a cold night
but I just find it perfect
Only if you are around me

The cold is burning my skin
My glass is empty again
